Ayushman bharat scheme (आयुष्मान भारत योजना)
The GOI will provide good health services to all eligible citizens in Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), started in September 2018.
In Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the central government will provide health insurance up to 500000 to each beneficiary family and makes them eligible to get free treatment of serious diseases in hospitals.
The Purpose of the PMJAY scheme is to facilitate health service to economically weaker sections and poor people.
The Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana will cover most of the medical treatment costs, medicines, diagnostics and pre-hospitalization expenses upto Rs 500000.
Also, the scheme offers cashless hospitalization services through the Ayushman Bharat Yojana e-card, which you can use to get the best health services at any listed hospital across the country. All eligible Beneficiaries of the scheme can avail of hospitalization for necessary treatment by using their PMJAY e-card.
